I Enjoy Movies Better With You

To this day, I do this weird thing when I'm watching a movie.

Say it's a comedy. There's a funny moment. A joke was delivered perfectly. Someone falls on their face. Whatever it is, something inside me says "funny."

Instead of exploding with laughter, I scan the room. I look to my left to see if she's laughing. I look to my right to see if he's laughing. And then, just then, I start laughing.

To me, the joy of laughter, even the joy of joy itself, is more powerful when shared. And yup, you caught me - my idiosyncratic movie watching habit is a metaphor for life.

Sharing infuses everything with more joy.
